My Love for Different Translations of the Bible.

During my current bible self study I was ask to read Jeremiah 29:11 and remember it during times of doubt about my future. I decided to go one step further and write it out in all the different traslations of the bible I own.



"For I known the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

Something about reading God's promises in all the different versions of the bible help it really hit home for me. If your like I am most of the time the NIV something looses its flame or passion when I read. And...I am taking full responsiblity for that. It is nice to see his's promises and some many different ways. I am proud to say this exercise help me fall madley in love with my God again. I plan on doing this with more of my favorite bible verses. I challenge you to do the same. I wonder if it will have the same power over you.

Home Sweet Home

I am in the process of purchasing my first house. I have rented for 6 years now. If any of you know me personally you know I worry about everything and worry all the time. So has you can only imagine I tend to worry about what it will be like to be a home owner and if I am doing everything "right" when it come to purchasing this home. I had my inspection last Friday. Only "minor" repairs are needed. Apparently I don't have a P-Trap, I need to caulk the outside of the house (essentially everywhere), and termites live only 3ft from my foundation. I am trying my best to have full confidence that I am making a smart move on my future. Wish me luck...and pray-pray-pray for me.
